The Future of the Ranch

For over 53 years, the San Diego Freedom Ranch has provided treatment and rehabilitation services to more than 10,000 at risk individuals. Operating out of our 296-acre campus in Campo, the organization offers services to individuals throughout San Diego County. The Ranch has rehabilitated thousands of men to better themselves, which benefits them, their loved ones, and their respective communities.

However, substance abuse remains a widespread societal challenge. The demand for treatment services far exceed current capacity. To address this community need, the Ranch is in pre-development phase for an expansion on the existing campus for an anticipated groundbreaking in mid-2025. The all-new, 43,010 sq ft facility will be constructed a short distance to the east of existing structures. The building will provide lodging for 140 clients, of which 24 beds will be dedicated to withdrawal management. The facility will also house a dining hall, meeting spaces, treatment rooms, gardens, gym, and more. Thoughtfully designed to promote care and serenity, this new addition will be a welcomed community resource and a place for staff, clients, and Ranch alumni to proudly call “home.”

We believe many more deserve a second chance before it’s too late, and this expansion will help ensure the next 10,000 success stories at the Ranch.

The project is approaching funding goals. The impact of your gift is greater than ever. Your contribution at this critical time can help make this expansion a reality for the Ranch and all the men we serve.
